The Depths

Written & Directed by Andrew Parchman

Aquanaut Lilith Hooper is the first human to survey earths final frontier. For 31 consecutive days with the assistance of experimental drugs, cognition-stimulating software, and support drones shes mapped the bed of the Marianas Trench. When a technical malfunction prevents her from surfacing, Hooper must face the pressure: her private funders, the extreme environment, and that which lives in perpetual darkness lurking in The Depths.  Join us to investigate a primordial eco-system where terrestrial lives, corporate interests, and the mysteries of nature vie for dominance, on this supernatural sci-fi thriller.

-Nominated for Footlights Award: Best Professional Special Performance
-Andrew Parchman listed "Best Designer for Puppetry 2017",  Journal Sentinel

"a triumph of physical performance, existential questioning and stunning stage magic."
Selena Milewski, Shepherd Express

"as Juhnke drives home: the way all of these processes get gendered, by a patriarchy that ruthlessly exploits women and the earth – dragging us into depths from which it becomes ever harder to return"
Mike Fischer, Journal Sentinel
