Robot Cabaret

A Fully Automated Performance
Made by Machine for Human Being

Directed by Brian Rott & Michael Guthrie

You interact with robots every day. Now see them act, dance, sing, do acrobatics and stand-up comedy, perform magic tricks, contemplate the divine, fall in love and grow old. Celebrity-bots, familiar automatons and new innovations will fill the stage for the sole purpose of entertaining you. In a world where life depends upon technology, come see what robot culture reveals about human nature.

"The best thing about Quasimondo’s productions (Robot Cabaret being no exception) is that they spin fractal like stories, within sub-stories within metaphorical vignettes, woven into loosely devised plots that don’t follow a logical or sequential pattern, their plays at least don’t seem to do so until you get home and say silently, “oh”."

WATCH THE TRAILER

"...a strangely endearing dystopia, and fabulously imaginative."
Jeff Grygny, Milwaukee Theater Examiner

"..A GIANT ROBOT FIGHT, A JAWDROPPING HULA HOOP ROUTINE ..., AND A FLAT-OUT COOL PUPPETEERING BIT THAT MUST BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED. "
