in partnership with Old World Wisconsin October 18th, 19th, 25th, & 26th 4:30-8:30 This Halloween The Quasimondo and Old World Wisconsin will celebrate the legends immigrants brought with them and the folklore they created with a new interactive event featuring Wisconsin ghost stories from the 19th and early 20th centuries, mingled with the folk and fairy tales of the Old World.
Stumble upon a coven of witches and a gypsy encampment. Shutter at the sounds of the banshee's sonorous song. Meet the rascal Jack O'Kent and watch how he tricks the devil to save his soul but not his head. With prestidigitation scarecrows come alive in a piece inspired by Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Feathertop". Cower with the beautiful Vasilisa, captive of the dreaded witch Baba Yaga and her 10ft chicken hut! Halloween Legends and Lore combines spooky daytime activities with macabre and magical nighttime stories in an unforgettable cornucopia of music, dance, and fun!
